Covering a land area of 7,208m2, Butterfly & Orchids Valley Scenic Spot is located in hinterland of Heaven on Earth scenic spot. A large leisure lawn and Suoluo Lake are located in front of the scenic spot. Adjacent to shady plant special zone in the right and backing on Magnolia Garden and Rare Tree Garden, the scenic spot is an arethusa special zone integrating with viewing collection and R&D.

On the basis of keeping original living environment, Butterfly & Orchids Valley Scenic Spot perfects various conditions suitable for arethusa’s growth showing growing state of arethusa in natural wild environment to visitors. Since ancient times, orchid has been described as fairy living in a peaceful valley and famous for beauty and fragrance. Yu Tonglu, a poet of Yuan Dynasty, described orchid as bellow: I planted by myself couples of orchid, they blossom in warm wind the next day. I have not smelt fragrance due to long stay in room, but butterfly flies in through the window soon. As lovers, butterfly is always linked with orchid. In this zone, you can enjoy the scenery of colorful butterfly flying freely, and learn more about orchid and butterfly.

Butterfly & Orchids Valley Scenic Spot is divided into three zones: deduction of butterfly, butterfly lingers over orchid, peaceful world in orchid valley. The zone of butterfly deduction consists of a live butterfly exhibition area and two fan-shaped butterfly specimen halls. The live butterfly exhibition area mainly shows the course of butterfly pupa, eclosion, imago state and living environment to the visitors. The fan-shaped specimen hall mainly exhibits various kinds of butterfly specimens and scientific popularization knowledge of butterfly. The zone of butterfly loves orchids is the main part of the scenic spot of Butterfly & Orchids Valley showing beautiful arethusa plants, cypripedium with peculiar flowers, calanthe plants with both beautiful flower and leaf, and Bulbophyllum plants with pretty shape. The epiphytic orchids on unique natural porous-stone and stub are equipped as background here. The zone of peaceful world in Orchids Valley is equipped with plank road built along cliff and valley. You can enjoy most of species of epiphytic orchid here. This zone is with sufficient scattering light, humid air, rich humus on ground, and suitable temperature. When you walk along the plank road while listening to the flowing stream, you can enjoy various species of arethusa plants and other plants growing in natural environment.
