Scientific Activities at Fairylake
In the morning of October 20, Fairylake Botanical Garden received totaling 110 teachers and students from 15 schools in Nanshan District, where they were holding the “9th Nanshan District Sci-Tech Festival Investigation Activities for Biology and Environmental Science”.
The lecture titled as “relations between global problems and plants” given by Dr. Jiao Genlin was so marvelous that it aroused great interests among the teachers and students, who asked various questions that were later answered by the experts one by one. At the same time, Fairylake arranged a correct-answer-with-award activity on botanical knowledge, which not only promoted the students’ enthusiasm for learning, but also added their knowledge on the subject. After the activity, teachers and students carried out on-site investigations at the Shenzhen Paleontology Museum, desert plant section and shady plant section, where workers of Fairylake gave them introductions.
As it provided the scientific event with an advantageous venue of on-site investigation, the Fairylake Botanical Garden was acclaimed by the teachers and students.
