Fairylake Botanical Garden Organizes “Public Sciences to Campus” activities

The “Public Sciences to Campus”, one of the activities of Academic Activities Month jointly organized by Fairylake Botanical Garden and Shenzhen Children's Library, was held at Shenzhen Zhuo Ya Primary School and Fenghuang Primary School of Guangming New District on 23 and 25 December 2009, respectively. PhD. Jiao Genlin, PhD. Jin Hong and public science workers from our Garden attended the activity, which was well received by teachers and students.

he activity focused on the keynote speech titled “Mountain, Water, Plants and Global Climate Change” by PhD Jiao Genlin. The report content included the connection between the environment and mankind, the influence of global climate changes on the mankind, etc. PhD. Jiao conveyed the concept of energy-saving and environmental protection to students and hoped that the students could participate in the environmental protection in the daily study and life to make a contribution to relieving the global climate warming.

In addition, our public science workers distributed the 2009 Fairylake Botanical Garden Public Science Questionnaire to school children.
