PhD. Zhang Li Goes to Singapore for Cooperative Research on Diversity of Tropical Bryophytes
PhD. Zhang Li of Science & Technology Department was invited by Director of Singapore Botanic Gardens PhD. See-Chung Chin to visit Singapore Botanic Gardens from February 18 to March 3 2008. He had a cooperative research on “Diversity of Tropical Bryophytes in Hainan Island, China” with the well-known bryophyte expert PhD. Benito C. Tan. He attended the first Asian Endangered Bryophytes Seminar co-organized by IUCN and IAB from February 28 to March 2. The Seminar was held in a bid to draw up a directory for endangered bryophytes in Asia to instruct Asian countries in bryophytes protection in the future. Sixteen bryophyte experts from eight European and Asian countries attended the Seminar.
