Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shenzhen Government Sign Memorandum of Cooperation to Co-build Fairy Lake Botanical Garden

The signing ceremony for a memorandum of cooperation between Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Shenzhen Government to co-build Fairy Lake Botanical Garden was held at the Garden on May 21, 2009.

CAS Vice President Shi Erwei and Shenzhen Deputy Mayor Zhuo Qinrui signed the memorandum, under which CAS and Shenzhen would work closely with each other to build the Garden. The signing of the memorandum marked a substantial phase for CAS and Shenzhen to co-build the Fairy Lake Botanical Garden. After the singing of memorandum of cooperation, Fairy Lake Botanical Garden, Shenzhen Genomics Institute and Institute of Botany Chinese Academy of Sciences signed the Letter of Intent about Co-building Shenzhen Plant Gene and Information Research Center, and Fairy Lake Botanical Garden, Institute of Botany Chinese Academy of Sciences and Computer Network Information Center Chinese Academy of Sciences signed the Letter of Intent about Phylogenetic Analysis of Land Plant Platform (PALPP).
